Former Florida Gators WR and current San Francisco 49ers receiver Ricky Pearsall was reportedly shot in San Francisco Saturday afternoon.
Gia Vang of NBC Bay Area reported the shooting around 7:45 p.m. and said Pearsall is in stable condition. Shortly after, Kirsten Moran-Keller of Fox 40 in Northern California reported that Pearsall was on his way to a signing event at Geary and Market Streets in San Francisco.
A robber tried to take his Rolex and shot him through the chest. The robber was shot as well and is in stable condition.
Per SFPD: 49ers Ricky Pearsall was shot in San Francisco. Robbery gone bad. Pearsall was going to a signing on Geary/Market, got robbed, and struggle for the gun. Both Ricky and suspect shot. Both parties at SF General Hospital. Stable. Shot through chest over Rolex.

Pearsall was drafted with the 31st overall pick in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft by the 49ers.
SF opens its season vs the New York Jets next Monday night at home.
Before San Francisco, Pearsall shined in his two seasons at Florida. He totaled 1,626 yards and nine TDs. In 2023, he had 965 yards on 65 catches.
