Lauren Sánchez Goes Strapless in Tweed Midi Dress for Children’s Book Launch Event With Anderson Cooper

Lauren Sánchez celebrated the launch of her first children’s book in New York City on Thursday with a conversation with CNN’s Anderson Cooper in a strapless tweed dress.

Sánchez opted for a casual approach to elegant dressing in one of her go-to designers, Oscar de la Renta. The philanthropist and media personality wore a strapless tweed dress with fringe trim. The midi dress featured a slim-fitting silhouette, combining classic autumn fabric with a summertime style in the season’s final days.

Sánchez paired the navy dress with Louboutin blush pointed-toe pumps and chose minimal jewelry for the intimate occasion. She wore gold earrings by Nicole Rose and stacked bracelets from Le Vian and Kallati.

For her glam, Sánchez styled her hair in soft curls. Her makeup featured a clean, dewy look with bold eyes and a soft lip color.

Prior to her children’s book launch, Sánchez attended the Kering Foundation Caring for Women Dinner as part of New York Fashion Week on Monday, where she also wore Oscar de La Renta. Sánchez, who is engaged to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, wore an off-the-shoudler Oscar de la Renta dress, which featured see-through, sheer fabric and a bevy of intricate guipure lace detailing with a delicate velvet peony design. Like her book launch event, the dress combined autumnal elements with summertime style.

She also made her Met Gala debut in a Art Nouveau-inspired stained glass Oscar de la Renta gown last May. The custom dress was inspired by the designer’s fall 2024 collection.

Sánchez’s children’s book, “The Fly Who Flew to Space,” follows a little fly named Flynn who struggles in school and has dreams of becoming an astronaut. One day, Flynn stumbles into a rocket ship and goes on the adventure of a lifetime. It is now available in stores and online.
