Kendall Jenner Channels Power Dressing in Vintage John Galliano Bustier-style Ensemble During Paris Fashion Week

Kendall Jenner delved into the archives for her latest ensemble while in Paris for Paris Fashion Week on Wednesday. The model was spotted shopping in the City of Light following her participation in the L’Oréal Paris’ Walk Your Worth show on Monday.

While in Paris, Jenner selected an ensemble from John Galliano‘s spring 1999 collection, embodying the power dressing trend with a fitted draped blazer, cowl neckline and bustier-style construction.

The blazer also included front shank button closure, a curved hemline and a dimensional addition of a shoulder bow with a hanging sash. Jenner paired the long-sleeve top wore a high-waisted pencil skirt with flexible boning at the hips and an asymmetrical drape.

Jenner paired her vintage sartorial statement with dark pointed-toe pumps and accessorized with black sunglasses. Her new blond tresses, debuted during Milan Fashion Week, were styled in soft curls. The model’s look was curated by stylist Dani Michelle, who has recently collaborated with Daisy Edgar-Jones, Elsa Hosk and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

Along with her vintage Galliano ensemble, Jenner was also seen in a look from The Row’s cruise 2025 collection. She also wore jewelry pieces courtesy of Mega.

Jenner has a penchant for vintage pieces. At the 2024 Met Gala last May, the model, who currently fronts Marni’s fall 2024 campaign, wore an archived piece from one of Givenchy’s 1999 collections. The ornately designed sleeveless gown was adorned with more than 100,000 beads, taking about 500 hours to hand-embroider.

John Galliano was appointed creative director of Maison Margiela in October 2014. Ten years later, his spring 2024 couture collection went viral. Celebrities, including Jenner, popularized the collection by wearing pieces from the runway show on the red carpet. Jenner wore a selection from the collection to the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscar Party last March.
