Apple (AAPL) has rolled out its highly anticipated AI features, called Apple Intelligence. Yahoo Finance Tech Editor Dan Howley joins Wealth! to break down its features and capabilities.
“Essentially, the big takeaway from this is it’s a start for Apple. This isn’t going to be the thing that gets people rushing out the door to buy iPhones right away, but it does start to lay the groundwork for what we will see that could get people more interested in re-upping their phones when it comes to the next iteration of Apple Intelligence. And that’s currently in beta,” Howley tells Yahoo Finance.
He notes that the next iteration of Apple Intelligence will include features like ChatGPT integration with Siri and Visual Look Up. However, in this current version of Apple Intelligence, users will be able to receive notification summaries, from text messages to news reports. There is also a tool that will be able to proofread writing and summarize emails. In addition, there will be a Clean Up feature in photos that can remove unwanted objects in the background.
Watch the video above to hear how Howley anticipates consumers will react to the new features.
