Blake Lively Wears Diamond-Encrusted Tamara Ralph Minidress for LACMA Art + Film Gala 2024 Red Carpet

Blake Lively made a voluminous statement on the LACMA Art + Film Gala red carpet on Saturday night in Los Angeles. The actress selected a handcrafted chainmail minidress from Tamara Ralph accompanied by an opulent, topaz-hued silk taffeta cape.

The shimmering dress from Tamara Ralph’s fall 2023 collection is handcrafted with chainmail and features rose gold, pink, and topaz crystals set in diamond-shaped pieces, connected by actual diamonds at the corners. The argyle patterning leaves tiny slits of skin exposed, adding a fresh twist to the sheer and cutout trends dominating red carpets this year.

Lively, known for styling herself, kept her glam minimal, wearing her blond hair down in side-parted waves. She accessorized with two pairs of huggie hoop diamond earrings and dainty studs on her upper ear to complete the look.

The actress has favored crystalized and cutout styles in the past. At the London premiere of “It Ends With Us” last August, she wore a crystalized floral dress, also by Tamara Ralph. In October, she favored both the sheer and cutout trends with a sustainable twist, wearing a full vintage look by Paola Frani with crochet detailing while out with her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce in New York City.

The LACMA Art+Film Gala, sponsored by Gucci, supports the museum’s curatorial programming, exhibitions, acquisitions and more programs that explore the intersection of art and film. This year’s event honors director Baz Luhrmann and sculptor Simone Leigh.
