Elle Fanning Suits Up in Saint Laurent at ‘A Complete Unknown’ London Screening

Elle Fanning wore a fresh off-the-runway look at a London screening of “A Complete Unknown” on Monday. The actress portrays Bob Dylan’s girlfriend in James Mangold’s new biopic.

Fanning wore a full look from Saint Laurent‘s spring 2025 collection, which consisted of a khaki double-breasted suit, a blue and white striped button-up and a patterned navy tie. A black leather belt and matching pumps topped off her look, which Samantha McMillen curated. The stylist’s other celebrity clients include John David Washington and Daisy Ridley.

Hairdresser Jenda styled Fanning’s blond bob in a pinned side part with waves, while makeup artist Erin Ayanian Monroe gave her taupe eye shadow and a mauve lip.

Last week, Mindy Kaling and Morris Chestnut announced the nominees for the 2025 Golden Globes. “A Complete Unknown,” starring Timothée Chalamet as Dylan, picked up three nods, including Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture — Drama for Chalamet, Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture for Edward Norton and Best Motion Picture — Drama.

On Sunday, Fanning channeled the 1960s in a Shushu/Tong set including a short-sleeve mint blouse and flared black midi skirt. Mary jane pumps and a wide headband added to the retro aesthetic.

Fanning has been known to favor looks inspired by the psychedelic decade: at the Los Angeles premiere of “A Complete Unknown,” the actress sported a white Gucci gown with crystal embellishments. Fanning’s backless frock featured a square neckline and a bow appliqué.

Saint Laurent’s spring 2025 show nodded to the brand’s eponymous founder, with creative director Anthony Vaccarello sending slouchy suits and bohemian prints down the runway.

“To be sure, one felt the style of house founder Yves Saint Laurent himself in the double-breasted suits, just as he wore them, and the freewheeling nonchalance of his muse Loulou de la Falaise in the paisley layers, cropped jackets and long chunky necklaces,” wrote WWD’s Miles Socha.
