Thousands of AEP Ohio customers are reportedly without power in northwest Columbus as temperatures approach zero degrees.
The company’s online outage map shows 16,142 customers without power in areas near the Ohio State University Airport along Bethel Road and U.S. 33.
The outages come as already frigid temperatures approach zero on Tuesday evening. Overnight lows are expected to be multiple degrees below zero.
A social media post from the company said it was sending multiple crews to the area to investigate the outage.
This is a breaking story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
