Nikola files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy

After a months-long struggle to raise capital and sustain its business operations, e-truck maker Nikola officially declared bankruptcy on 18 February 2025. According to Nikola, the next steps are to “market and sell all, substantially all, or a portion of its assets and effectuate an orderly wind down of its businesses.”
