An investigation is underway after a popular restaurant in Boston was robbed at gunpoint on Sunday night, authorities said.
Officers responding to a call for an armed robbery at Cava at 125 Summer Street in the city’s downtown section just after 10:30 p.m. spoke with a victim who said he was closing the restaurant when a gun-wielding suspect confronted him, according to the Boston Police Department.
Police say the suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the area on foot.
No arrests have been made in connection with the incident and there were no reported injuries.
There were no additional details immediately available.
Cava, a Mediterranean fast-casual restaurant chain, has more than a dozen locations in Massachusetts.
