Céline Dion stars in a new teaser for Le Défilé L’Oréal Paris for Paris Fashion Week 2024, which began on Monday and concludes Oct. 1. L’Oréal Paris celebrated the beginning of Paris Fashion Week on Monday with a star-studded runway show featuring Kendall Jenner, sporting blond tresses, Cara Delevingne, Jane Fonda and more.
The teaser, featuring the “My Heart Will Go On” singer, was posted to social media on Monday prior to the fashion show. The video features Dion, in various fashionable threads, telling the camera, “Above all, remember that this show is all about you. So please, enjoy.”
Dion, who poses for the video in an elegant elevator, also wears a voluminous peach gown at the end of the clip. Upon looking to the camera, the Grammy Award-winning singer says the quintessential L’Oréal Paris affirmation, “You’re worth it.” The caption to the social media post read, “Just a touch of glam before we step into something truly worth watching.”
Le Défilé L’Oréal Paris kicked off Paris Fashion Week with a theme centered on “Walk Your Worth.” An official partner of Paris Fashion Week, L’Oréal Paris hosted the high-fashion event at the iconic Opéra house celebrating the “democratization of fashion and beauty.” The live show was also available to stream via Instagram.
Dion joined L’Oréal Paris as an official ambassador in 2019. “Signing Céline Dion as the newest member of the L’Oréal Paris family builds on our mission of aligning with spokeswomen who are strong, self-empowered, assertive, diverse, and inclusive,” said Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou, L’Oréal Paris global brand president.
Upon her addition to the personal care company, Dion attended an event in Las Vegas in March 2019 to celebrate the partnership. “I’m at a stage in my life where I’m excited to use my voice to empower others to feel beautiful, confident, and to learn to embrace themselves,” Dion said at the time of her appointment, per L’Oréal Paris.
Dion is one of many global brand ambassadors for L’Oréal Paris. Viola Davis, Kate Winslet, Eva Longoria and Elle Fanning, among others, also serve as brand ambassadors for the personal care company, which was established in Paris in 1909.
