Chappell Roan put an asymmetrical spin on the red dress trend. The music artist attended Ludovic de Saint Sernin‘s fall 2025 show at Paris Fashion Week while wearing a ruby one-shoulder leather dress.
For the occasion, Roan opted to wear the Melrose dress in leather from Ludovic de Saint Sernin‘s fall 2024 collection. Roan played off the asymmetry of the dress with a pair of asymmetrical strappy heel sandals. Beauty-wise she kept a neutral palette with a smokey winged eye and peach and white eyeshadow that extended above her eyebrows.

This isn’t the first time Roan has put her stamp on the red dress trend, which has been a go-to on the red carpet over the past year — and surged on the runway for fall 2024, with labels from Bottega Veneta to Ferragamo, Victoria Beckham and Issey Miyake putting forth entries. Last February Roan while wearing a red corset dress with a matching veiled escoffion. Roan also opted to wear a red dress last year to perform at 2024 Kentucky Pride Festival and to attend the Los Angeles premiere of Netflix’s “Olivia Rodrigo: GUTS World Tour.”

Roan made her fashion show front-row debut at Rabanne’s fall 2025 fashion show in Paris this Thursday, where she wore a metallic lace set from Rabanne’s spring 2025 collection. “I feel good. This is my first fashion show ever,” Roan told WWD of her Rabanne appearance, adding, “I’ve been on tour for two years so I can do the fun pop star stuff now.”
Roan has been making the rounds at Paris Fashion Week, switching up her looks between shows. After Rabanne, she suited up in a metallic Rick Owens Prong dress with otherworldly makeup for the designer’s fall 2025 presentation. Yesterday, she sat front row at Matières Fécales’ fall 2025 runway show while wearing a black textured dress with wide sleeves and a pointy headpiece made from feathers.
Today Roan also took in Vivienne Westwood‘s fall 2025 show, attending the event while wearing another asymmetrical dress. For the occasion, Roan embraced the sheer trend in a floor-length dress that consisted of a partially sheer bodice on one side.
