Cobb County police have released the body camera footage and 911 calls from the night one of its officers shot and killed a family’s dog.
On the initial 911 call, you can hear a woman say “Help me, help’” before hanging up. Police tracked the phone to Powder Springs, but when officers arrived they couldn’t find anything.

Police then approached a home where the homeowner walks out. Video shows the man’s wife at the front door trying to control the dogs before one of them got loose and ran after an officer.
The video shows the dog lunge toward the second officer, who then shot and killed the dog.
What officers told the homeowners after the shooting, today on Channel 2 Action News at 5:00 p.m.
