Country singer Dasha, known for her popular single “Austin,” wore a black sleeveless minidress by Area to the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards on Thursday in Nashville. Her twist on the little black dress featured a diagonal strap across her shoulder that was embellished with a crystal belt buckle. There was another matching strap and embellished belt buckle highlighting a cut-out on the left side of her waist.
She accessorized her look with big shimmering hoop earrings, chunky rings and black strappy stilettos.
It was a big night for her, as she won her first People’s Choice Country Award for Female Song of 2024 for her hit single “Austin (Boots Stop Workin’).” It was a surprise win, as she beat out songs from Beyoncé, Kacey Musgraves, Lainey Wilson, Carly Pearce, Megan Moroney and Miranda Lambert.
“I felt like a rookie this year, and you guys have just opened your arms,” she told the crowd as she accepted the award.
Earlier this week, Dasha was a special guest for Alexandra Cooper’s Unwell Tour, and she performed in a white sequin Retrofête slip dress with black lace and black suede knee-high Partlow Tania boots.
She was styled by frequent collaborator Alexandra Mullin, who also created her April look for the CMT Music Awards in Austin, Texas. There, Dasha wore a long, strapless leopard print dress with a black bow and thigh slit in the back. She added drop earrings, a statement gold necklace and black pointed toe pumps, and her hair was in a loose updo.
At the 59th Academy of Country Music Awards, Dasha wore a black flowing evening gown with silver pumps and her hair pulled up in a high side ponytail. She was again styled by Mullin, with hair by Billy Mercer and makeup by Clarissa Luna.
The second annual People’s Choice Country Awards, held at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, are hosted by singer Shania Twain. Miranda Lambert will receive the honorary Country Icon Award, while performers include Kane Brown, Keith Urban and Lady A. The show will be broadcast live on NBC with an option to stream on Peacock.
