Meredith Grey will be saying goodbye to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital in February. Ellen Pompeo, however, has begun the farewell parade.
One week after the fiery finale of Fall, Pompeo posted an emotion-filled note to his viewers on Instagram.
The star wrote, “I am forever grateful and humbled for the love and support that you all have shown me, Meredith GREY, and the show over 19 seasons.” “Have it all ….none… would have been possible without you, the greatest fans in the entire world. You are all RIDERS, and the ride was so much fun and ICONIC because of you! !”
Last week’s lovefest for Pompeo started when a promo for February’s return teased that Meredith would leave Seattle to start a new life in Boston.
In August, it was reported that Pompeo would play a small role in the current season.
Pompeo wrote this week, “I love and appreciate you so much.” “This isn’t your first ride on the rollercoaster… I know it must continue and I’ll be back.”
Meredith’s life was literally destroyed in the series’ 19th season finale. Her mother had passed to Meredith the house, which has been a fixture of the series since its inception.
