EXCLUSIVE: Ksubi Enters Eyewear With Patty Mills Campaign

Ksubi is entering a new category.

The Australian streetwear company is making its entry into eyewear on Thursday, releasing a collection of four sunglasses styles. For the collection, Ksubi has released a campaign fronted by NBA player Patty Mills, who also collaborated with the brand on one style.

“We design clothes with attitude and nothing delivers more attitude than a sick pair of sunglasses,” said Ksubi chief executive officer Craig King. “We’re excited to inject our unique aesthetic to eyewear this summer for the Ksubi crew.”

According to Ksubi, the eyewear collection was created on three brand pillars: “statement styling, injecting confidence and drawing inspiration from Ksubi’s origins, the streets.”

The designs include a narrow rectangular frame, a sports-inspired wrap frame and a shield style. Ksubi worked with Mills on his own version of the Smiths sunglasses, which are a rectangular style.

Each style is offered in black or white and is designed with Ksubi’s graphic logo. The collection ranges in price from $270 to $300 and will be available for purchase at Ksubi’s stores globally.

The category expansion is Ksubi’s latest initiative. In October 2023, the brand launched its creative artist program, called Blank Canvas, which offers emerging artists a platform to tell their stories. The inaugural program enlisted Buffalo, N.Y.-based artist Wasabi, who is known for his pop iconography.

In 2022 the brand embarked on a retail expansion strategy. Over recent years Ksubi has opened locations in Miami, Chicago and London. The brand’s overall retail plans are to roll out 20 stores across the world by next year.
