EXCLUSIVE: Mark Consuelos Named Stuart Weitzman’s First Men’s Global Brand Ambassador

Stuart Weitzman is celebrating its men’s category with a new celebrity ambassador.

The luxury footwear brand has named actor, producer and talk show host Mark Consuelos as its first men’s global brand ambassador. Consuelos, known for his roles in “All My Children” and “Riverdale” and as the current cohost of “Live With Kelly and Mark” with his wife Kelly Ripa, stars in Stuart Weitzman’s first celebrity-led campaign since the brand debuted its men’s footwear category earlier this year.

“I am thrilled to be named Stuart Weitzman’s first men’s global ambassador,” Consuelos said. “I know the brand because of my wife, who has many blue shoeboxes in her closet. I’m honored to be thought of as the definition of the Stuart Weitzman man. When I told her about the campaign concept of strong, sophisticated and sexy, she encouraged me to go for it — and put all my hours in the gym to good use.”

Consuelos stars in the black-and-white campaign modeling two Stuart Weitzman fall boot styles: the Aiden boot, which is a lace-up style; and the Adam boot, which is a Chelsea boot-inspired design. The campaign was photographed by Ned Rogers.

“At Stuart Weitzman, everything we do is born from our purpose of inspiring women with confidence, as well as finding meaningful ways to engage her,” said Kaisy Mae O’Reilly, senior vice president and chief marketing officer at Stuart Weitzman. “With our recent launch into men’s, it was important that we chose a brand ambassador who represents a continuation of our brand’s narrative of celebrating modern womanhood. Mark famously adores and supports Kelly, and we believe there is nothing sexier than that. This campaign shines a spotlight on men just like him.”

Stuart Weitzman released its men’s footwear category in February in a four-part collection broken up in the categories Premiere, Club, Resort and Sport. The collection offered a wide range of styles across loafers, derbys, slip-ons, sneakers and sandals, among others.

This summer, Stuart Weitzman announced another slate of celebrity ambassadors as part of its “How Lovely to Be a Woman” campaign. The campaign featured celebrities like Issa Rae, Lucy Liu, Aly Raisman, Christy Turlington and Ming Xi.

The brand also tapped Rae to launch its eyewear category with a black-and-white campaign. Stuart Weitzman debuted the category through a partnership with Safilo Group, which produced and distributed the first collection this fall.
