XG, the seven-member South Korea-based Japanese girl group known for their dramatic Y2K-tinged style and immersive pop performances, has had a packed schedule this fall. The group stopped by the WWD office in New York shortly after wrapping the North American leg of their “The First Howl” world tour, and a few weeks before releasing their latest mini album, “Awe.”
Their world tour continues in Europe this month, with upcoming performances in Paris, Brussels, and Amsterdam. XG will also be returning stateside in the spring: earlier this week, the group was announced as part of the 2025 Coachella lineup, and are slated to perform onstage ahead of Post Malone on April 13 and April 20, 2025.
In this video, XG discusses their tour, approach to onstage fashion, the inspiration for their new music and how they like to spend their downtime while in New York.
