Ivanka Trump is at her father president-elect Donald Trump’s side ahead of inauguration tomorrow. Today the Trump family attended a wreath-laying ceremony Sunday afternoon at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery.
For the occasion, Ivanka wore a monochromatic ensemble by Oscar de la Renta consisting of a camel coat with 3D floral appliqués and a mock turtleneck. She paired both with black leather boots that featured a patent leather cap toe and gloves in burgundy, the breakout color from last fall.
Melania Trump, meanwhile, opted to wear a double-breasted black Dior cape-like coat with black knee-high Christian Louboutin boots. Tiffany, who attended along with Eric and Donald Jr., wore a mod belted gray coat with glittering square-shaped buttons.
The incoming President of the United States, for the second time, wore a dark overcoat, dark suit, white shirt and red striped tie. Likewise, Vice President-elect JD Vance wore a dark overcoat and white shirt with a maroon tie — and Usha Vance chose to wear a white double-breasted coat.
Together at the 639-acre cemetery they honored those who have lost their lives in service for the United States. The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier serves as a symbolic grave for all war dead whose remains have not been found or identified. It began with one unknown service member from World War I and now has the remains of three unidentified service members.
While the Trumps are settling in once again at Washington, D.C., President Joe Biden and his wife Jill were in Charleston, S.C. to attend a service at the Royal Missionary Baptist Church in North Charleston Sunday and visit the International African American Museum. On Jill Biden’s final day as First Lady, she suited up in blue from head-to-toe, wearing a monochromatic ensemble that doubled as a tribute to the democratic party.
