Jennifer Connelly and her husband, Paul Bettany, attended the premiere of “Here” during the 2024 American Film Institute Festival on Friday in Los Angeles. Bettany was cast in the film alongside Tom Hanks and Robin Wright, who were working together with filmmaker Robert Zemeckis for the first time in 30 years since “Forest Gump.” For the outing, the couple chose to coordinate their looks, both wearing black.
Connelly chose a look from Louis Vuitton‘s recent spring 2025 collection. Styled by Leslie Fremar, Connelly’s look was sheer, featuring a draped top and floor-length skirt embellished with small bows. There was a white band of fabric at the waist as well as white cuffs.
Connelly carried a small all-black Petite Malle from the brand. That Nicolas Ghesquiere design celebrated its 10-year anniversary this year, which was recognized during the show earlier this month. Ghesquiere described the collection as “soft power.”
“We thought it would be very interesting to break boundaries and to trying to define architecture in fluidity, strength in airiness, and how you can evoke this powerful silhouette, but in movement,” he told WWD during a preview. To accomplish that, he tasked the brand’s atelier tailleur to create “extremely fluid dresses” like Connelly’s, who has been a longtime supporter of Ghesquiere’s work.
Bettany went oversized with his outfit. He wore a double-breasted suit from Saint Laurent‘s fall 2024 collection. The roomy design featured wide legs. The suit was styled with a black crew-neck shirt by Jason Bolden.
The suit jacket features peak lapels and is cut long in an ’80s-inspired silhouette. “More formal, more classic, more masculine,” creative director Anthony Vaccarello said of the collection.
