The Palm Springs Film Festival officially kicked off on Thursday, and Variety rang in the annual affair by hosting its 2025 Creative Impact Awards this weekend. Honorees included Jennifer Lopez, Cynthia Erivo and “Emilia Perez” director Jacques Audiard.
Pastels were particularly popular at the event, with Lopez, Erivo and Selena Gomez favoring springy shades of pink, yellow and purple. Ahead, see the best looks from this year’s Variety Creative Impact Awards.
Selena Gomez
Gomez modeled a pink Oscar de la Renta minidress with pockets featuring floral embroidery. She accessorized with matching Santoni buckle slingbacks and Swarovski jewelry.
Stylist Erin Walsh, who also counts Anne Hathaway and Juno Temple as clients, dressed Gomez for the occasion. Hairdresser Renato Campora styled the actress’ brunette bob in waves, while makeup artist Soo Park gave her winged eyeliner and pink lip gloss.
Jennifer Lopez
Lopez’s lilac frock featured a halter minidress with a sheer overlay. The singer added on PVC mules and jeweled Mateo earrings. Styling duo Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn, who also work with Heidi Klum and Hailee Steinfeld, curated Lopez’s look.
The “Unstoppable” star wore her highlighted tresses in a sleek half-updo, styled by hairdresser Jesus Guerrero, while makeup artist Ernesto Casillas gave her coral blush and a nude lip.
Ariana Grande
Grande’s vintage Chanel dress, sourced from the Beverly Hills boutique Lily et Cie, is dated to 1986. Featuring a flared ruffled tea-length skirt and jagged bodice, it came embroidered with the French fashion house’s signature Camellia flower. The “Wicked” star accessorized with Jimmy Choo pumps, black tights and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, including a pearl choker.
Grande was assisted by stylist Mimi Cuttrell, who is also known for dressing Gigi Hadid. Makeup artist Michael Anthony was responsible for Grande’s subtle glam, while hairdresser Gabor K gave her a sleek updo with a rounded bang.
Cynthia Erivo
Erivo embraced colorblocking in a head-to-toe Marni look from the label’s spring 2025 collection, which consisted of a teal overcoat and a yellow square-neck dress. Jason Bolden, stylist to Nicole Kidman and Cara Delevingne, dressed Erivo for the event.
Zoë Kravitz
Zoë Kravitz selected a Saint Laurent slipdress with a draped bodice, adding on pearl dangle earrings, round sunglasses a pair of the label’s Lee slingbacks.
