Linda Evangelista arrived at London’s Dover Street Market on Friday to fete Steven Meisel’s collaboration with Zara, wearing an all-black outfit. Evangelista wore a classic black top with black trousers paired with a wool- and cotton-blend coat from the collaboration. For footwear, she selected classic black pointy-toe pumps.
On Sept. 8, Evangelista donned a similar head-to-toe black ensemble when Zara and Steven Meisel celebrated their collaboration on the first official day of New York Fashion Week.
The famed supermodel and Meisel have a long-time friendship. On Sept. 6, they released her first Phaidon book. Titled “Linda Evangelista photographed by Steven Meisel, ” the book features over 180 images of Evangelista shot by Meisel over the course of 25 years.
“It was really hard for me to do a book,” Evangelista said to WWD. “I had to get my head around the thought that people may enjoy a book of me. I had more fun making it with Steven [Meisel] like we did making the photos. We were in agreement almost 99 percent of the time. It was just fun and it’s a celebration of our work.”
Evangelista is also headlining the new Apple TV+ docuseries “The Super Models,” which premieres on Wednesday. The documentary takes a closer look at the careers of Evangelista, Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell and Christy Turlington.
Evangelista’s modeling career began in the ’80s when she signed with Elite Model Management after moving from Canada to New York. Throughout her iconic career she worked with major brands, from Chanel to Versace.
