Meghan Markle meant business on Thursday while meeting with Colombia Vice President Francia Márquez in Bogota. The Duchess of Sussex and her husband, Prince Harry, are embarking on a four-day trip around the South American country.
Markle selected a navy Veronica Beard waistcoat with a halter neckline and tortoiseshell buttons, pairing it with matching cropped trousers. The American Riviera Orchard founder also added on Pippa Small kyanite studs, a Lorraine Schwartz tennis bracelet and a gold Cartier Love bangle. She completed her look with a Loro Piana handbag, suede Manolo Blahnik pumps and Ray-Ban sunglasses.
Markle wore her dark tresses in a sleek updo, while her makeup consisted of brown eye shadow and a glossy lip.
The couple’s Colombia trip marks their first international jaunt since May, when they visited Nigeria. The Duke and Duchess celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, a multisport event that Harry created for wounded servicemen and women after serving in Afghanistan.
During their Nigeria trip, Markle and Prince Harry spectated a sitting volleyball match and attended a dinner in honor of the charity Nigeria Unconquered, which partners with the Invictus Games.
Last month, the couple made an appearance at the 2024 ESPY Awards, where Prince Harry received the Pat Tillman Award. Markle wore a bespoke white dress by Oscar de la Renta with a backless silhouette and a cowl halter neck. She completed her look with black Celine sandals and accessorized with a Cartier bracelet, emerald earrings by Lorraine Schwartz and a three gold and diamond rings by Rodi.
Serena Williams, a close friend of the couple and host of the 2024 ESPY Awards, included them in her opening speech saying, “It’s well, actually pretty often that I get to be in a room with actual royalty, and tonight is no exception. Prince Harry and Meghan are here. Let’s give it up for them,” she said.
