NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) – A fight that began inside New Haven restaurant Noa ended with two women being hit by gunfire, according to police.
New Haven Police were called to 200 Crown St at 1:00 a.m. Sunday morning for reports of gunshots. The caller told police that the incident began with a fight inside the restaurant.
Patrons were evacuating the building as Police arrived. Officers were approached by a woman who claims she was struck by gunfire. Officers observed a bleeding scratch on her shin and she was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital for treatment.
A second woman approached police while they were attending to the first victim. The second woman claimed that she had also been shot. The wound she showed officers had not broken the skin and she refused medical attention.
Ballistics evidence was found at the scene. Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call (203) 946-6304 or submit an anonymous tip at (866) 888-8477.
