Palace Dabbles in Snowboarding With Oakley

ON THE SLOPES: Palace is dabbling in the world of snowboarding for the first time with its latest collaboration with American outdoor label Oakley.

Inspired by ’90s pieces in the Oakley archive, the range includes a board made by American snowboarding brand K2, Line Miner goggles, ski helmets compatible with goggles, Clifden sunglasses, backpacks, and water-repellent shoes.

There are also technical puffers in cloudy prints, snow jackets with mesh vents and storm guards, paneled hoodies, heat-trapping jerseys, and co-branded logo T-shirts in black, white, petrol blue, light blue, and gray.

The collection will drop on Friday in Europe and the U.S. and be available in Asia the following day.

The release is accompanied by a campaign shot by Palace founder and creative director Lev Tanju, featuring Palace team skaters, a husky dog, and friends of the house.

The ski capsule marks the third time the two hyped collaboration experts are uniting.

They first worked together in 2018 for two pairs of sunglasses. Last year, the two unveiled a capsule collection that took cues from Oakley’s archive from the early 2000s.

Most recently, Palace launched viral collaborations with Vivienne Westwood, Rimowa, Gucci, Calvin Klein, and Tour de France Femmes, while Oakley has released capsules with NBA Star Damian Lillard, Satisfy, Samuel Ross, Stüssy, Brain Dead, and Prada.
