The 10 Most Popular Beauty Products Used at the 2025 Golden Globes

The Golden Globes this year were nothing if not memorable, and celebrities on the red carpet dressed in a way that put forward key trends we’ll be thinking about for a long time to come: glamorous opera gloves, black-and-white styles, and sheer dresses (plus capes!) included. Patterns, however, were seen not only in outfit choices but also the beauty looks created by A-listers’ glam teams. We witnessed a lot of shimmery eyeshadows that brought both camera-ready sparkle and a kind of eye-opening effect; in the hair department, the co-host of WWD’s Eye on the Red Carpet and “Queer Eye” star Jonathan Van Ness pointed out the prevalence of movement in locks no matter their length.

As soon as stars hit the red carpet on Jan. 5, our beauty editors started thorough research of the exact products used by their makeup artists to achieve looks spanning from the skin-forward and restrained to the high-glam and fully contoured. Soon, we honed in on many similarities and parallels, which included cult-favorite products seen on red carpets in years past. The Chanel Rouge Coco Baume hydrating and tinted lip balm, for instance, is a perennial choice for celebrities who want to go for a more subtle wash of color on their lips (at the 2024 SAG Awards, Margot Robbie sported this buildable balm in a perfect pink, made out of two shades, that matched her gown). In contrast, some beauty picks we identified were new releases that only at the 82nd Golden Globe Awards made their full-fledged debuts. These included the 2.0 version of the popular Currentbody LED Light Therapy Face Mask — which seemed to be a staple for priming the skin before walking the carpet— and Augustinus Bader’s The Rich Eye Cream, which launched this October and is already attracting quite the following.

highlighter stick in opened condition, next to its cap, over a white background

L’Oréal Paris Lumi Le Glass Highlighter Stick

At this year’s Golden Globes, Elle Fanning wore this product in 610 Glassy Pearl Eclat, adding a glow to her complexion that was in pitch-perfect synchronicity with her lipstick — another L’Oréal product, specifically the L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche. Cara Delevingne sported the highlighter stick, too, dabbed on the high points of her face and down the bridge of her nose by makeup artist Shelby Smith. Cristin Milioti was yet another celebrity who jumped on this bandwagon, wearing the stick in the 630 Glowy Creme Chic shade, which created luminous skin that served as a kind of carte blanche for her fierce eye look.

As an extension of L’Oréal’s TikTok-favorite Lumi Glotion, an illuminating moisturizer that primes the face before makeup is applied, the Lumi Le Glass Highlighter Stick gives a glassy finish that doesn’t look one bit tacky or overdone. Swiping it on your cheeks, collarbones, forehead, and nose will help your skin look like you just came back from a facial appointment. Even though it’s beloved by those who are frequently on camera, the affordable price point of this red carpet beauty select makes it accessible for all… because you deserve to look glam and glowing every day.

Augustinus Bader The Rich Eye Cream

$205

Augustinus Bader’s The Rich Cream has permeated social media feeds so thoroughly that it needs no introduction, but its Eye Cream counterpart — released only in October 2024 — might.

Nourishing the under-eye area while stopping hydration loss in its tracks, this product also lifts the skin, reduces puffiness, and minimizes the appearance of fine lines. Its thick, luxurious texture and ingredient makeup that includes vitamins, lipids, and peptides will leave you seriously impressed… and ordering the cream in multiples.

During the 2025 Golden Globes, many stars’ facialists performed Augustinus Bader’s signature The Method — a carefully curated multi-step process involving brand products that target every area of the face. Zoe Saldaña’s facialist Lord Gavin McLeod-Valentine, for instance, specifically used The Rich Eye Cream to “wrap the ocular area in glow, resilience, and resonance, ensuring under eye makeup remains enlivened and refreshed all ceremony long,” according to a press release. Other celebs (like Colman Domingo, Kathryn Hahn, Allison Janney, Edgar Ramirez, and Sharon Stone) followed suit, with similar results of invigoration and glow. In essence, The Rich Cream is one of those rare finds that truly lives up to every once of its own hype.

lipstick in a slightly shimmering shade that is a mix between orange, brown, and red, with a cap that bears the chanel logo on it

Chanel Rouge Coco Baume Tinted Lip Balm

Keira Knightley wore it in Honey Bliss; Margaret Qualley swooned in Cocoon; Quinta Brunson also flaunted Knightley’s shade; and Tilda Swindon’s hue of choice was Blushing Pink. The beauty product in question? The Chanel Rouge Coco Baume Tinted Lip Balm, of course.

This ultra-popular product is lighter than lipstick, without ever cutting corners on rich pigmentation. Intensity can be easily regulated with the amount of swipes you choose to apply, and the balm also comes turbocharged by shea butter and olive fruit–derived oil that both offer deep hydration. It’s not often that you find a lip product which not only makes your pout look fabulous but also soothes chapped lips upon application. This one, however, checks both of those boxes.

Unlike fresh red carpet arrivals in the world of beauty, the Rouge Coco Baume balm has truly done its rounds. As mentioned previously, Margot Robbie doubled up on it — layering the pink-powered Miss Rose and Flirty Coral colorways — during the 2024 SAG Awards, and we’re still looking back on that moment in pure admiration.

foundation stick with its case and cap, in a light cream shade

Dior Forever Skin Perfect Foundation Stick

When a product is both popular with the masses (AKA viral-on-TikTok) and adored by the top one percent (AKA Golden Globes attendees), it’s one to add to cart as soon as possible. Used before the event to give stars like Alexandra Daddario, Anna Sawai, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Demi Moore flawless skin, the Dior Forever Skin Perfect Foundation Stick is the real-life version of the airbrush filter.

This talked-about foundation is buildable, blurs any and all imperfections, and offers all-day hydration plus breathability. The absolute worst attributes a foundation can have is being cakey and heavy. This product bypasses all of that — working with a light touch, so much so that you’ll forget all about it during your revelries. Many shades are already sold out, so we urge you to skip the waitlist by grabbing the beauty item while it’s still available to shop online.

hairspray with a bottle that has white, yellow, and black elements on it

Sisley Paris Hair Rituel The Invisible Hold Hair Spray

$110

This hair spray’s powers are made clear through its very name. It works overtime to boost your ‘do’s definition, fighting frizz and increasing volume while performing all this magic is a completely natural and invisible way. On the Golden Globes red carpet, it was favored by Kristen Bell, whose hairstylist Jenny Cho used the product to create a slicked-back, flyaway-free updo for the star. Felicity Jones, who had her hair pulled back in a way that still retained volume at the top, was also a fan.

Indeed, Sisley Paris’ The Invisible Hold Hair Spray is versatile to its core: perfect for locking in flowing waves or shorter hairstyles. Buying it will be the ultimate self-love gift for your hair, what with its Pro-vitamin B5 and Vitamin E Acetate formula that provides not only shine but also lasting strength and softness. On the red carpet, the spray was essential for keeping hairstyles performing at the top of their game; in your everyday life, it will similarly make sure your mane looks on-point from the AM to the PM — inspiring many a question on how exactly you achieved the look.

three separate bottle of mist, gel, and a laser treatment with a black and minimalistic design

Lyma Laser Starter Kit

During awards season, red carpet glam starts way before the first dab of makeup is applied, often involving lasers or red light treatments that target skin on a cellular level. This laser kit is pricey, but, let us tell you, it’s worth every penny. It comes with the Oxygen Mist and Oxygen Glide gel — containing stabilized oxygen, hyaluronic acid, antioxidants, and essential minerals — which go on the skin before the actual laser is applied in order to maximize the latter’s effects. The laser itself can either be used all-over or else held for a minimum of three minutes in specific areas of concern. The weekly regimen’s final results will stun you, what with its work to reduce skin issues like scars, cellulite, spider veins, acne, and wrinkles.

Considering the fact that the Lyma Laser Starter Kit is such an overachiever, many Golden Globes A-listers (like Selena Gomez, Felicity Jones, and Emma D’Arcy, to name a few) chose it to prep their skin before the big night. That is, their glam teams were responsible for administering the multi-step treatment, but the beauty of the Lyma Laser is that it has a practically nonexistent learning curve, meaning you can use it from the comforts of home, too.

hair dryer with two corresponding attachments and a circular head emitting a blue light

L’Oréal Professionnel AirLight Pro Hair Dryer

One the the biggest “talks of the town” during the 82nd annual Golden Globes ceremony was, without a doubt, Emma Stone’s new pixie cut. Besides using a $32 styling cream to pull off her lightly sculpted and textural hair, Stone’s stylist Mara Roszak took advantage of the L’Oréal AirLight Pro to set the locks’ direction and attain silkiness. The buzzy tool was also responsible for Zoe Saldaña and Cristin Milioti hair looks at the event — granting their pulled-back ‘dos long-lasting sleekness.

These simultaneous effects were all made possible thanks to the hair dryer’s infrared light technology (which replicates natural evaporation processes and thereby shortens drying time), 17-blade motor, and incredibly high wind speed. The top hair styling tool has a concentrator to help with nitty-gritty smoothing and precision while the diffuser works to add bounce and curl. The coolest part just might be the fact that you can connect your phone to the tool via Bluetooth and the AirLight Pro app to control metrics like temperature and airflow. It’s great for all hair types and is bound to get you out the door looking gorgeous and feeling confident.

Pattern Beauty Shine Spray

There were many polished hair looks on the Golden Globes red carpet, including Ariana DeBose’s put-together bun — achieved with a whole host of products from Pattern Beauty, whose cherry on top was a misting of this made-for-curls spray which adds shine while protecting against humidity. Infused with castor oil and plumeria flower extract, it also takes care of hair’s overall health, so that it looks great even on the off days. Kerry Washington‘s celebrity hairstylist Takisha Sturdivant-Drew also reported using the spray. “For the low ponytail, I applied Pattern Beauty Shine Spray to enhance her hair’s natural luminosity,” she said in a press release. And luminous it was.

Not swayed enough yet to treat your own hair to this gem of a hair product? Perhaps the fact that Pattern Beauty was founded by none other than Tracee Ellis Ross (who received the Hollywood Trailblazer honor at the WWD Style Awards!) will do the trick. To round out your investment into maintaining your mane in tip-top shape, consider snagging the spray in conjunction with Pattern Beauty’s hair dryer, which was our top hair dryer pick for curly textures in 2024.

LED face mask with cutouts for the eyes and the mouth

CurrentBody Skin LED Light Therapy Mask: Series 2

The CurrentBody Skin LED Light Therapy Mask was a behind-the-scenes miracle worker at the Golden Globes. As soon as we got news of the fact that Mikey Madison and Zoe Saldaña both used the tool to renew their complexions before entering the spotlight, we could see at once just where their glowy, skin-forward red carpet looks originated.

LED face masks, which have gained significant traction in the past few years, work by emitting certain wavelengths onto skin which offer benefits like collagen renewal, redness reduction, textural improvements, and increased firmness. The CurrentBody mask, in particular, is a top product on the market and was part of the $1 million Golden Globes gift bag this year. The brand promises more youthful skin in as little as four weeks, though the recent awards show also makes it very clear that there are also short-term results to the treatment. At home, put the mask on for 10 minutes a day, three to five times a week. Its ergonomic silhouette will allow you to multitask while your skin gets a much-needed upgrade.

hair extensions in a strawberry blonde, connected to labels with the word

Bellami Clip-In Hair Extensions

Short hair? No problem. As stars on the Golden Globes red carpet clearly demonstrated, clip-in hair extensions are an effortless way to refresh your style while adding length (and volume!) to your strands. The brand they all seemed to gravitate towards this year was the award-winning Bellami. Sofía Vergara’s hair stylist, for example, framed her gorgeously contoured face with Bellami’s Hazelnut Brown and Chestnut Brown tape-ins — which have exact matches in the brand’s more user-friendly lineup of clip-ins. Ashley Graham, too, had on Mochachino Brown Bellami clip-ins, which blended wonderfully with her actual hair.

Other celebrities who gave Bellami the seal of approval included Nicole Kidman — with her buzz-generating and retro-inspired updo (Kidman’s stylist used the shades Vanilla Latte and Golden Hour for a layered look) — and Zendaya, whose classy, Old-Hollywood-glam bob was given added bounce with the Chestnut Brown and Chocolate Brown clip-ins.

All this is to say: Your hair will never look as good as when it’s styled with Bellami’s hair extensions, which are lightweight, made from 100-percent human hair with the cuticles still intact, and friendly to even the most sensitive of scalps.
