LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A train car fire caused road closures in the downtown Las Vegas area on Friday night.
It happened shortly before 5:30 p.m. causing southbound Main Street to close from Lewis Avenue to Bonneville Avenue, according to Las Vegas Metro police.
Las Vegas Fire and Rescue posted a video on its X account of the firefight and said the first crew at the scene found several vehicles on fire inside the railcar. As of 6 p.m., the scene remained active, however, fire crews had confined the fire to the railcar of origin.
The fire is near a pedestrian bridge in downtown Las Vegas.
