PITTSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— Two men have been taken into custody on multiple drug charges after a search warrant was executed on Tuesday, according to Pittston City Police Department.
Following the execution of the warrant 44-year-old Mark Braithwaite of Pittston and 21-year-old Damari Peterson of Philadelphia were arrested.
The Pittston City Special Investigation Unit started a narcotics investigation into Braithwaite.
Officials say that they were looking into whether Braithwaite was distributing cocaine throughout the city.

Braithwaite was taken into custody on three counts of Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession with Intent to Manufacture or Deliver a Controlled Substance and two counts of Criminal use of Communication Facility.
Peterson was taken into custody on one count of Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession with Intent to Manufacture or Deliver a Controlled Substance and one count of Criminal use of Communication Facility.
Braithwaite and Peterson were arraigned before a Magisterial District Judge and a Monetary bail of $75,000 was set.
Pittston City Police Department was assisted by Luzerne County District Attorney’s Office, Drug Task Force; Kingston Police Department; Wilkes-Barre Police Department; Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, Luzerne County Adult Probation, and the Luzerne County District Attorney’s Office.
