Volvo Group ramps Mexico plant investment up to US$1bn

Swedish truckmaker Volvo will increase its investment in the truck plant it is constructing in Neuvo Leon, Mexico, to US$1bn, said the country’s Economy Minister, Marcelo Ebrard, on 3 April. When the plant was first announced in August 2024, construction costs were estimated to come in at around US$700m.
